Clemson, determined to reclaim its spot, has not made the college football playoffs since the 2020 season, when it lost to Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, ending its dominance. The Tigers are now setting their sights on returning to the playoffs in 2024.
The excellent news for all Clemson fans is the College Football Playoff has expanded from four teams to 12 teams this upcoming season, so there will be eight more chances for them to make the playoffs in years prior, but even with good news, there is always bad news and the Tigers saw one of their best recruits from the 2024 class hit the transfer portal on Sunday.
Matt Zenitz from 247sports.com states that defensive end Adam Kissayi has entered the portal. Kissayi, who is 6-foot-8 and from Florida, is a three-star prospect and the 29th-ranked edge in the 2024 class, according to 247sports.com.
Clemson true freshman EDGE Adam Kissayi has entered the transfer portal, @chris_hummer and I have learned for @247Sports.

Kissayi first committed to Minnesota in June 2023, then de-committed on July 13th and committed to Clemson the next day. Losing a player who was only part of your program for a few months has to be a massive blow because Clemson had to be counting on him to play a role on the team, maybe not this season, but perhaps as soon as 2025. He didn’t even make it to fall camp in his first season with the Tigers.
